Recovery Support Specialist- Community Support Team

POSITION OVERVIEW:Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) plays a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges. The RSS promotes recovery, provides person-centered assistance, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to help individuals develop effective action plans. Candidates must have lived experience as a consumer of mental health and/or substance use services. Community Support Team (CST) services focus on reducing hospitalizations and crises while increasing community functioning. These services aim to support rehabilitation, resilience, and recovery through skill building, illness self-management, adaptive strategies, use of natural supports, and community resource navigation.
