RSU 16 Job OpeningAnticipated opening for licensed practical nurse (LPN) to serve Minot Consolidated School in Minot, Maine (RSU 16 Poland, Mechanic Falls, and Minot) for the 2026/2027 school year. Minot Consolidated School has approximately 220 students from Pre-K-6th grade. The LPN will work collaboratively with the registered nurse from Elm Street School.QualificationsLicensure by the Maine State Board of Nursing LPN Degree Preference of 3 years of nursing experience, pediatric, public health, or school nursing An ability to collaborate effectively An ability to communicate and interact with students, staff and community members A commitment to professional growth and reflective practice Current Basic Life Support certification for healthcare professionals and First Aid Ability to work independently or with others Ability to act quickly, calmly, and decisively in a crisis Must have a valid Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) certification through the Maine Department of Education, complete with fingerprints prior to employment Knowledge of current practices for common childhood illnesses and chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, and seizures.Email a cover letter, resume, transcripts, certification, three signed/updated letters of reference, and a completed application (available on our website: www.rsu16.org) to kbrown@rsu16.org.
