Job Purpose: The Data Center Operations Technician is responsible for the day-to-day care and maintenance of their primary data center. Other areas of responsibilities include, basic monitoring/evaluating all Data Center systems to include responding appropriately to alarms and alerts.The Data Center Operations Technician will follow proper data center security practices while adhering to all company procedures and acceptable use policies. More importantly, the Data Center Operations Technician I will maintain the highest standards for change management policies and procedures ensuring all client service level agreements are met.The Data Center Operations Technician must have the ability to interact with customers, coworkers, and the entire Lunavi executive team is important to ensure good upstream and downstream communication. Additionally, the Data Center Operations Technician I must foster solid vendor and supporting trade relationships to ensure cooperative, timely professional services are provided to the data centers.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Responsible for the daily care and upkeep of the data center to include the following:Daily cleaning of all data center white spaces.Day-to-day cleaning and upkeep of the data centers inside and out to include some additional suites as needed, if applicable.Pallet removal, cutting them down with a saw.Cardboard breakdown and disposalCleaning, maintaining customers suites and areas as needed.Cleaning office areas or suites as needed. We do have a janitor that comes through the office suites to tidy up and dump garbage and cardboard 5 days a week.Keep all floors clean to ensure dust control is kept at the highest standards.Maintain white space equipment keeping it dust free by employing a HEPA vacuum to remove dust from all surfaces.Keep all white spaces free of clutter and combustibles.Keep all Lunavi storage areas clean and organized.Complete all daily reoccurring cleaning and organization tickets in a timely manner.Ensure support tickets are effectively resolved.Shipping and receivingDaily walk-through rounds of all of the datacenter critical devices.
