Senior Environmental Associate, PE or PG (Scientist, Geologist, Engineer)
Location: Eureka, Redding or Willits, CA Offices
What kind of work would I be doing? You will help rural clients in northern California and southern Oregon with regulatory compliance and land use needs. You will be directly responsible for the preparation of plans and implementation of permits related to site assessments and investigations, inspections on industrial and construction projects, and field programs. The role will include data interpretation, report preparation, project management, marketing, regulatory agency interaction, and staff direction. You will demonstrate SHN’s mission, vision, and values in everyday language and interactions with co-workers and our client/vendors.
Compensation & Benefits:
Wage range is approximately $38.00 – $55.00/hour, 40 hours/week anticipated

What are SHN’s minimum qualifications?
B.S. or B.A. in Environmental Studies/Geology/Engineering from an accredited college or university
At least 8 years of experience in environmental compliance
A working knowledge of the conditions and environmental requirements in the northern California region
Professional Licensing (P.E. or P.G.) or certification (QSD/TOR/QISP) registration in California
Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Valid California drivers’ license (Class C) and a satisfactory driving clearance.

What additional knowledge and skills would make me a great candidate?
Master’s Degree
40-hr. OSHA HAZMAT certification
Phase I ESA and stormwater experience
Site investigation, remediation experience
