Boston, MA$20/hrPosition OverviewThe UBIF Technician - Google performs device diagnostics, component-level repairs, and customer support for Google-branded hardware. Thisrole focuses on safe, consistent service procedures, accuratedocumentation, and maintaining quality standards. Technicianstroubleshoot issues, replace parts, and verify functionality whileprotecting customer data and following store workflow. Successrequires precise workmanship, clear communication, and adherence torepair policies, ESD practices, and inventory controls. The techniciancollaborates with teammates to meet turnaround targets and deliver areliable experience to customers across varied repair scenarios.Schedule Expectations: Full-time team members are scheduled for 40hours per week, 5 days a week. Store hours differ by location, andflexibility is required to work opening, mid, and closing shifts asscheduled.Essential Job Skills/Duties Perform diagnostics on Google devices. Execute board-level and modular repairs. Document work performed accurately. Protect customer data and privacy. Manage parts, tools, and inventory. Meet repair quality and turnaround targets.Required Technical Skills Smartphone and tablet repair proficiency. ESD-safe handling and workstation setup. Micro-soldering or fine assembly skills. Accountability for results and safety.Required Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Experience repairing consumer electronics. Record of consistent quality outcomes. Micro-soldering coursework or training.Required Licenses/Certifications ESD awareness training completed.Preferred Licenses/Certifications OEM-authorized Google device certification.
