This role defines requirements, develops work packages, and ensures delivery of scope, schedule, and budget commitments. At the higher level, the position assumes greater accountability for complex performance, risk management, and engagement with senior leaders and stakeholders while leading cross-functional teams from initiation through completion.Project Leader 3 Responsibilities:The Project Leader 3 (PL3) manages scope and ensures the timely delivery of moderately large projects from initiation through completion. This role establishes requirements and leads the execution of project deliverables, budgets, and schedules. You will guide project teams in planning and execution while developing work packages aligned with programmatic objectives and defined outcomes.Project Leader 4 Responsibilities: In addition to the duties listed for Project Leader 3, candidates for Project Leader 4 will...The Project Leader 4 leads large, complex projects with greater accountability for scope, schedule, and budget performance. Project Leader 3 Requirements:Experience managing moderately large to highly complex projects across the full project lifecycle. Knowledge and expertise in project management principles, including WBS, schedules, work packages, and baseline/change control management. Ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, and performance, and prepare project documentation and reports. Ability to serve as the primary point of contact for project statuses, risks, and issues, delivering briefings to leadership and stakeholders. Proven ability to analyze, research, and resolve complex problems independently and collaboratively. Strong stakeholder management skills, including consensus building, conflict resolution, and relationship development. Project Leader 4 Requirements: In addition to the requirements outlined for Project Leader 3 above, requirements for Project Leader 4 are... Consultative experience in all aspects of project management work and in developing and nurturing effective high-level internal and/or external customer relationships. Qualifications We Desire:Proficiency with project management and data analysis tools (e.g., MS Project and MS Excel). Project management training or certification (e.g., PMI, PMP). Working knowledge of laboratory, government, or federally funded project environments. Working experience with manufacturing or production work planning and schedulingWorking experience with Conduct of Operations. Working knowledge of regulatory and Laboratory requirements related to projects. An active DOE Q-Level clearance. Work Location: The work location for this position is hybrid and is located in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Hybrid is defined as working partially onsite/partially offsite but within 2 hours ground commute of this location. This is not a Telework or Remote position. All work locations are at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice.Work Schedule: This position may/will require 24/7 coverage, which could/will involve working a shift/weekend schedule. Employees may be eligible for the shift differential pay when assigned by their manager. Shift/weekend assignments are at the discretion of the manager.Position Commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.Incentive Compensation Program: The Project Leader 4 position is eligible to participate in the Triad Incentive Compensation Program. You must be in an eligible position for a minimum of 3 months, before July 1st and remain in an eligible position as of the end of the fiscal year, September 30th.
