The Surgical Technologist prepares the Operating Room prior to surgery, promotes the safety of the patient during surgery, provides assistance to the surgeon during surgery, cares for the patient during surgery and cares for the instruments and supplies used in surgery. The Surgical Technologist functions to promote the safety of the patient as a member of the surgical team. The incumbent possesses knowledge and skills required to assist in effectively caring for patients of all age groups (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).Shift: 36 hr/week, Nights, 12 hour shifts: Monday - Friday, 6:30 pm - 7:00 am (weekday rotation). No call, no weekends.Minimum RequirementsFacility Requirement:"Travelers permanent address must be 50 miles from assigned primary work site location."Floating - Travelers are the first. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the travelers assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.Experience"Minimum two years of scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience required."Looking for strong cardiovascular, endovascular and peripheral vascular experience. Skills checklist must include cardiovascular, endovascular ratings and peripheral vascular ratings - we will only consider 4's for these skills for this job).
