Our skilled technicians specialize in diagnostics, refurbishment, and precision repair, ensuring every coil meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.Position Overview: Coil Repair Technician IIThe Coil Repair Technician II is responsible for advanced testing, troubleshooting, and repair of MRI coils. This role requires intermediate-level expertise in electronics, including analog, digital, and RF circuit analysis.This position plays a key role in improving repair processes, developing technical documentation, and enhancing operational efficiency through hands-on problem-solving and the design of test systems.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Review, test, and repair MRI coils to OEM specificationsPerform repairs and rework in accordance with established procedures and work instructionsConduct quality assurance (QA) testing to ensure full functionality of repaired componentsPerform component- and PCB-level rework, including hand soldering, Surface Mount Technology (SMT), and Plated Through-Hole (PTH) repairsTroubleshoot and conduct failure analysis on analog, digital, and RF circuits at the system, subassembly, and component levelsUtilize electronic test equipment such as digital multimeters, analyzers, and power suppliesMaintain accurate inventory and repair recordsDevelop, update, and maintain work instructions, test protocols, and repair documentationAccurately document test results in compliance with company and regulatory standardsAssist in improving repair processes and documentation systemsRepair coils with configurations up to 35 channelsFollow FDA Good Documentation Practices (GDocP) and 21 CFR Part 820 Quality System RegulationsEnsure compliance with ISO 13485, FDA QMSR, and other applicable regulatory standards (e.g., EU MDR)Promote and adhere to all safety and security proceduresEducation & ExperienceAssociate degree in electronics or a related field, or military electronics training preferred (not required)3+ years of hands-on electronics repair experienceKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesIntermediate-level knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting techniquesStrong proficiency in soldering and PCB rework (SMT and PTH)Solid understanding of electrical schematics, circuits, and componentsExperience with electronic test equipment, including multimeters, analyzers, power supplies, and RF testing toolsStrong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities efficientlyCommitment to safety and proper handling of equipment and materialsEquipment & TechnologyElectrical and electronic lab equipment including multimeters, power supplies, network analyzers, measuring tools, and related diagnostic equipment
