If you are looking for a lucrative career using your communication and interpersonal relationship-building talents, apply today!Compensation:$60,000 - $75,000 yearlyResponsibilities:Meet sales expectations, generate new business, get referrals, and monitor sales pipelineCommunicate with the senior mortgage loan officer/ MLO to make a recommendation of which mortgage loan products are best suited depending on applicants financial statusAssemble financial information to assist with loan applications, prepare loan files, and assess applicants financial situation and eligibilityCollaborate with the mortgage lender or mortgage banker, underwriter, loan processor, senior MLO / mortgage loan originator, and realtors on behalf of the applicant as needed to make sure the loan transaction goes through successfullyEducate loan applicants about various residential mortgage loans - answer questions and provide additional information to create personal relationshipsClient Engagement: Conduct interviews with clients to understand their financial situation, needs, and loan preferencesPresentation & Consultation: Prepare and deliver clear loan presentations that outline terms, conditions, and potential pricing scenariosPricing: Accurately price loan products and explain rates, fees, and options to clientsPipeline Management: Act as the point of contact for clients throughout the loan process, coordinating with processing and underwriting teams to ensure timely progressionRelationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, aiming for high satisfaction and potential referralsReview all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation, then report any discrepancies to the loan originatorFollow up and respond to customer and in-house inquiries on transactions as needed in order to provide superior customer serviceQualifications:Bachelors degree is preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalent is requiredExceptional communications, sales, relationship, and MS Office skills are necessaryPossess the intention to complete a training program to obtain NMLS/ MLO/ state licensePast experience with credit unions, lending institutions, real estate, financial services, or related fields is a bonus, but not requiredUnderstanding of loan programs guidelines and various types of loans such as FHA, commercial loans, VA, etc is helpful, but not requiredAdvance comprehension of loan financing options such as Non-QM, Foreign nationals, Conventional, FHA, VA, and Home Equity LoansComputer proficiency required, including MS Office; some CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferredAbility to effectively work in a strong team-oriented environment and provide outstanding communication and customer service to clients3-5 years of professional office environment experience as a loan officer assistant or mortgage assistant preferredUnderstanding of state and federal legislation, as well as underwriting rules and processesAbout CompanyCornerstone First Mortgage is a full-service mortgage bank headquartered in San Diego, licensed in 49 states and Puerto Rico.
