Staff Software Dev QA Engineer
Overview
In this role you will ensure the reliability and accuracy of Fortinet’s WLAN products within the R&D team. You will design and execute test plans, review requirements, and collaborate with automation to boost testing productivity. You’ll build and maintain test infrastructure, debug root causes, and drive cross-functional testing efforts. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute test plans and functional test cases from functional specsFind, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolutionExecute test cases, analyze and report test results to product teamsAutomate test cases and understand automation infrastructureSupport cross-functional teams in integrated test effortsBuilding new test infrastructure and maintain them for automation setupsReport project status and issues to project managers and managementDebug to analyze the defect root cause, optimize the test scripts for test automationCollaborate closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve any issuesDefine Complex Test cases exercising various features and coming up with creative ways to find bugs.
Key requirementsMinimum 6+ years of relevant work experience writing and executing wireless QA test plansGood understanding of QA processes and methodologiesExperience with Linux, UNIX, or WindowsExperience with Networking/Wi‑Fi technologies 11a/b/g/n/ac & axExperience in any scripting language; Python preferredExcellent English verbal and written communicationExperience with wireless test tools & analyzers such as Ixia Veriwave, Chariot, Omnipeek, AirPcap is a plusExperience in fast-paced environments and Agile methodologyClear communicationCross-functional collaborationProblem solving and debuggingWireless QA testingTest planning and executionAutomation and scripting (Python preferred)
