Job Opening: Light Duty Tow Operator (Full Time) Wayne’s Garage & Towing – Butler County, OH Serving Butler County since 1969 We are expanding our team and looking for a high-character, reliable Light Duty Operator to join our growing operation. This is NOT a high-volume “run yourself to death” towing company — we prioritize professionalism, clean equipment, and strong customer service. Position Details Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (guaranteed full-time hours) Rotating on-call nights (paid per-call, generous rates) Occasional weekend on-call rotation Location Requirement (non-negotiable): Must live in the Hamilton / Fairfield, Ohio area Must be able to respond within 20 minutes during on-call shifts Responsibilities: Perform light-duty towing and roadside service Respond to police rotation calls and accident scenes Load/secure vehicles safely following company procedures Operate trucks and equipment with care Conduct daily truck inspections & maintain basic cleanliness Provide professional customer service Assist with yard duties when needed (moving cars, organizing lot, light shop maintenance) Complete Towbook/dispatch documentation accurately Required Qualifications 25+ years old (insurance requirement) Valid driver’s license with clean MVR Valid DOT medical card Able to pass a drug screen Able to lift 50–75 lbs Good communication skills (with customers, dispatch, and law enforcement) Must be dependable, punctual, and high character Preferred (Not Required) Prior towing or roadside experience Mechanical knowledge (basic vehicle troubleshooting) WreckMaster, TIMS, or recovery training Experience with Towbook What we Offer: Competitive hourly pay Paid per-call for after-hours work Paid weekly Paid training & certification opportunities Company-provided uniforms & safety gear Newer, well-maintained equipment A respectful work environment with real opportunity to grow Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Calm under pressure Professional with police, customers, & the public Takes pride in doing the job the right way Reliable and accountable Looking for a long-term home in the towing industry Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Paid training Work Location: In person
