Structural Engineer

Senga Architects is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of professional structural engineering experience, with a strong background in the design, analysis, coordination, and documentation of structural systems for commercial, institutional, residential, and public-sector projects.This position is best suited for a highly capable professional who can work independently, coordinate effectively with architects and consultants, and provide thoughtful technical guidance throughout all phases of design and construction.Senga Architects Inc. is a Chicago-based architecture firm and certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) providing design, planning, technical documentation, permitting, and project management services for public and private sector clients. With strong knowledge of Chicago zoning, building codes, accessibility requirements, and permitting processes, Senga Architects Inc. delivers practical, well-coordinated architectural solutions from early design through construction administration.Responsibilities The Structural Engineer will be responsible for preparing and reviewing structural calculations, drawings, reports, and construction documents for a variety of project types. Candidates should be comfortable working collaboratively in a professional office environment and participating in project coordination meetings, site visits, and internal reviews as required.
