Technician

Job Title: Technician Location: Austin, TX Shift: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday Interview Process: One video interview Client Overview This role sits within a global materials science and technology company's materials and environmental testing lab, co-located at a partner innovation center in Austin. You'd support fiber optic component testing, from environmental and mechanical testing to optical measurements. Top 3 Skills Fiber optic and optical measurement testing Environmental chamber and test equipment operation Test documentation and basic data analysis What You'll Do Assist with setup and performance verification of fiber optic testing systems Configure product samples for environmental and mechanical testing Perform optical measurements using manual or automated test systems Program and operate environmental chambers and test equipment Set up, perform, and track testing progress as directed Document test results from optical fiber component testing per procedures Conduct basic data analysis Draft test reports in the proper format and file them accordingly Assist with failure mode analysis Perform basic troubleshooting and problem solving What We Need From You High school diploma minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a laboratory environment Comfortable using hands on test and measuring equipment Detail oriented, able to complete assignments accurately on a predefined schedule Good eyesight and ability to handle very small, delicate parts Preferred / Bonus Highly motivated, self starter attitude Willingness to learn new testing procedures and equipment About Elevait Elevait Solutions was founded by veterans who believe that how you treat people is the only thing that actually matters in this industry.
