We are actively recruiting from the Shreveport metro area — if you're a qualified welder willing to work in Greenville, we want to talk.Per diem is available for qualifying out-of-area workers. This is a serious project with immediate openings — not a pipeline posting.What You'll DoPerform structural welding in 2G, 3G, and 4G positions using FCAW (Flux Core) and SMAW (Stick) processesExecute fit-up, tacking, and welding of structural connections per project specifications and applicable codesRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld procedure specifications (WPS)Inspect welds for conformance to specification; maintain required documentationCoordinate with foremen, ironworkers, and other trades on siteFollow all site safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company safety policies at all timesMinimum RequirementsQualified or able to qualify in 2G, 3G, and 4G positions — FCAW (Flux Core) and SMAW (Stick) required3+ years of structural welding experience in industrial or heavy construction environmentsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and weld procedure specificationsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred; site safety orientation requiredValid government-issued photo ID and reliable transportation to the Greenville, MS job siteMust pass pre-employment drug screening — drug-free workplacePreferred QualificationsCurrent weld certifications in 2G, 3G, and/or 4G — FCAW and SMAWAWS Certified Welder (CW) credentialPrior experience on power, industrial, or energy construction projectsLouisiana or Mid-South regional field experience a plusCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly wages commensurate with experience and weld certificationsPer diem available for our skilled workers — Shreveport-area candidates encouraged to ask about eligibilityOvertime opportunities based on project scheduleProject-based contract with potential for extended assignment based on performanceAbout Tarpon / Paloma Specialty ServicesTarpon / Paloma Specialty Services is a specialty contractor providing skilled craft labor to industrial, power, and energy construction projects across the region.
