As a member of the Company’s field sales force, the Territory Manager, Sales is responsible for all aspects of personal promotion within their assigned geography. They will be expected to execute the implementation of Esperion sales processes within the local geography in accordance with approved sales and marketing resources and while ensuring they operate in an effective, efficient, and compliant manner at all times. This role reports into the Regional Sales Manager.Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Achieve individual territory sales goals as approved by Esperion Commercial LeadershipReview performance metrics with RSM to ensure territory is achieving maximum salesresults.Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers in the assignedgeographyEffectively promote and educate Health Care Providers (HCPs) on the use of Esperionproducts through one-on-one meetings, virtual engagements, company-approvedpromotional speaker programs, and other company-approved programsAnalyze local market trends, develop, execute and monitor performance and results tomaximize the appropriate use of Esperion productsDemonstrate successful use of sales and marketing tools and resources such as toachieve business objectives.Demonstrate and maintain appropriate knowledge of Esperion product payor coverage todeliver against market access objectives for the assigned territoryPeriodically attend local, regional and national congresses to promote Esperion brands toHCP attendeesDemonstrate accurate and timely completion of all administrative tasks such as sampleinventory, call submission & reporting, expense management, vehicle mileage reporting, and related duties as required by EsperionEnsure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures, completing all required compliance training, and consistently demonstrating behaviors aligned with company valuesFollow all Esperion Expense Report guidelines and adhere to allocated territory budgetEstablish and maintain effective communications among Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Territory Managers (TMs); organize and monitor performance to achieve thebusiness potential of the TerritoryMonitor and strive to maintain consistency between Sales and Marketing efforts andensure high standards for executing business initiativesWork closely with sales leadership and Market Access to maximize pull-through fromcommercial & government payersAbility to maintain vendor credentialing requirements for entities such as VendorMate andRepTrax in order to maintain access to customer locations.*additional duties and responsibilities as assignedQualifications (Education & Experience) • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred degree in sciences (eg. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Kinesiology, Pre-med, other STEM background) and 1 - 3 years of pharmaceutical or relevant sales experience; or equivalent education and experience.o Will also consider candidates with military background or similar experience demonstrating drive and discipline.Experience calling on or working with Healthcare Professionals preferred but not required.Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% including overnight stays for territory businessand occasional Regional and National Sales MeetingsValid driver’s license and clean driving record that meets Esperion employment standardsDocumented track record of consistent high performance in sales, academics, athletics,or other similar endeavours.Desire to work in a start-up environment or successful experience operating in anentrepreneurial sales model with sole responsibility of product promotion within a largegeographic territoryAbility to embrace a performance driven and growth culture.Passionate about the mission and reputation of the CompanyDemonstrated excellent presentation and communication skills.Ability to influence and work successfully with varied audiences, including customers,colleagues, scientific and technical leadersStrong interpersonal and selling skills
