Senior Technical LeadLocation: US Remote (But someone comfortable to work in PST time zone)Experience: 12+ YearsScope of ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Architecture:Act as the technical lead for a scrum team building software deployed on edge devicesDesign and evolve the end-to-end architecture, including:Edge-hosted software componentsIntegration with backend SaaS servicesSecurity model spanning device, tenant, and cloudEnsure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and platform standardsIdentify and document technical dependencies for each featureProactively request, negotiate, and follow through on changes to internal dependencies where requiredSystem Integration:Lead integration with internal teams responsible for (not exhaustive):Tenant managementVideo ingestion servicesCloud platform and infrastructure (pipelines, deployment, observability)Ensure consistent data flows, APIs, authentication, and authorization across edge and cloud systemsTranslate product requirements into technically sound, scalable integration designsDelivery & Scrum Participation:Lead and actively participate in:Feature refinement and technical breakdownSprint planningTrade-off discussions during deliveryProvide technical guidance to engineers during implementationMaintain a balance between velocity, quality, and architectural sustainabilityDocumentation & Communication:Produce clear technical documentation, including:Architecture diagrams and design proposalsIntegration and dependency documentationSecurity and trust boundary descriptionsPresent technical proposals and design decisions to:EngineersProduct and program stakeholdersBroader technical leadership when requiredCommunicate risks, constraints, and trade-offs clearly and earlyRequired ExpertiseSenior-level engineering experience with technical leadership responsibilitiesStrong background in distributed systems and system integrationProven experience with JavaScript / Node.js, including backend services and full-stack applicationsPrior work on systems involving video capture, ingestion, or streaming is strongly preferred incl. video encoding and processing on device.Experience operating in environments with multiple internal teams and complex dependenciesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsNice to have:XP with regulated industries.Experience developing software that integrates closely with hardware or edge devices
