Construct requested sales orders by accurately loading required packages onto carts, pallets and skids in preparation for delivery to retail accounts.JOB DUTIES:Inspect products for misprints, dings, dents, defective seals, damage or leakage.Sort product on pallets by undamaged and damaged product.Hand-wrap full undamaged pallets of product.Replace damaged or leaking cartons with good cartons, or defective cans or bottles with good product to create full cases.Hand stack undamaged variety packs on pallets in designated pattern.Perform modular pallet build based on pallet pattern diagram.Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.Regular and punctual attendance.Keep pick area clean and organized at all timesEnd of shift pick up and disposal of trash and debris from the warehouse floorFollow company policies and procedures in regards to product freshness and rotationAttend team and branch meetings as requiredKeep breakage room clean and organizedMaintain and service forklift batteriesSafe operations of forklifts and equipmentPerform other duties as assignedAbility to accurately count and multiplyMaintain OSHA Certification for electric jacks and fork trucksPerform all other duties as assignedCOMPETENCIES:Time management skillsMaintain strict product quality and freshness standardsOrganizational skillsTeam orientedQUALIFICATIONS:Must be at least 21 years of ageHigh School Diploma or GED with additional 5 years of beverage warehouse experienceProficient in Microsoft Excel software and able to 10 key by touchUse of other Microsoft office applications, (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)OSHA Forklift certification with experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipmentFlexible schedule including possible nights, weekends and holidaysExperience operating forklifts and warehouse equipmentPick line operations experienceProduct rotation experienceMaintenance of grounds experienceAbility to withstand long hours of standing and physical activityPREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS:Bachelor's DegreePast experience in wholesale beer distribution management and/or brewer/supplier operationsExecute assignments accurately and timelyA team player with the ability to communicate openly and effectivelyExperience operating forklifts and warehouse equipmentProduct rotation experienceFacility Maintenance experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs.Hang merchandise as neededRepetitive lifting, up to 50 lbs. overheadBending, pulling/pushing up to 340 pounds on a two-wheelerAbility to continuously stand or walkAbility to bend and occasionally squatOccasional carrying and reachingBENEFITS:* Medical, dental, vision coverage in addition to life and disability insuranceplans* Paid Vacation and Paid Holidays* Retirement and Savings (401K) PlanStandard Sales Company, L.P. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, and transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
