Overview As a Hardware Development Engineer on the Ground Systems team, you will design, integrate, and validate TT&C and Ground Gateway hardware for a global satellite constellation. You will work with RF and ground electronics, bridging mechanical, thermal, software, and operations teams to ensure reliable, deployable ground stations. The role emphasizes first-principles development under strict regulatory constraints and post-deployment limitations. You will influence hardware from concept to production and field deployment, balancing performance with reliability. Compensation / Benefitshealth insurance401(k) matchingpaid time offparental leaveRSUs and sign-on paymentscomprehensive relocation and visa support (if applicable) ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and validate RF hardware and electronics subsystems for TT&C and Gateway terminals, including antenna feed assemblies and RF front-end chains.Perform CAD for new designs and improvements, driving installation and implementation.Execute bring-up, integration, and test campaigns for Gateway and TT&C subsystems.Develop and execute verification and validation plans to meet performance, environmental, and reliability requirements.Support root cause analysis and failure investigations on ground station hardware.Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to drive hardware development, procurement, and integration.Contribute to design review documentation, test reports, and engineering change processes.Support transition of hardware designs from development through qualification into production and field deployment.
