CVICU Registered Nurse

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a top Healthcare client.This dynamic role provides highly specialized, compassionate care for critically ill cardiovascular patients who require close monitoring and frequent, complex assessments. The CVICU RN is required to make autonomous and sound clinical assessments and manage treatment protocols, operating in a collaborative environment with a commitment to continuous improvement and excellent patient outcomes.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide high-focus, specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients requiring frequent, intensive monitoring.Perform continuous clinical assessments, interpret complex data, and autonomously manage appropriate treatment interventions.Serve as the dedicated patient and family advocate, ensuring the protection of patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.Instruct patients and their families thoroughly regarding new medications, ongoing treatment plans, and necessary follow-up care instructions.Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, intensivists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive and excellent patient care.Respond immediately to acute changes in patient condition, utilizing advanced life support protocols and critical thinking skills.Provide care with a strong commitment to continuous professional improvement and adherence to best practices in critical care nursing.RequirementsEducationGraduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.ExperienceMinimum of one (1) year of Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) experience is required.Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting is highly desirable.Certifications/LicensesLicensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within six (6) months of hire.NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) is a plus, but must be obtained within two (2) years of hire.SkillsProven ability to make autonomous and sound clinical assessments and management decisions in a critical care setting.Excellent communication, service, and collaboration skills to serve as a patient and family advocate effectively.BenefitsCompetitive pay with opportunities for overtime and weekend shifts.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.Life insurance and disability coverage.401(k) retirement plan with employer match.Paid time off - vacation, sick leave, and holidays.Continuing education and professional development opportunities.Supportive, team-oriented work environment.
