At Cashmere Goat, we believe in creating a welcoming space where quality yarns, notions and customer satisfaction come first.Role DescriptionThis is a part time to full-time, on-site role based in Camden, ME, combining responsibilities in sales, cashiering, and marketing. This job requires some experience in knitting or crocheting and the willingness to learn more. The role includes assisting customers with knitting questions as well as help with picking our projects & yarns, operating the cash register accurately, maintaining an organized and inviting store environment, and contributing to marketing strategies to help grow the business. Day-to-day tasks may also involve merchandising, recommending products, managing inventory, and assisting with promotions or events to enhance customer engagement.QualificationsKnitting or crocheting and a willingness to learn about it.Love of yarn.Sales and Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to assist customers with product selection, and experience in providing exceptional customer service.Cashiering: Proficiency in handling transactions, balancing cash registers, and maintaining accuracy in financial processes.Marketing: Knowledge of marketing strategies, basic digital marketing skills, and experience in creating or contributing to promotions and advertising campaigns.Detail Orientation: Ability to manage inventory, organize displays, and maintain a visually appealing store space.Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.Other Desirable Skills: Previous retail experience is preferred. Familiarity with local community needs is a plus.
