Job DescriptionThe 2nd shift Maintenance Team Leader will lead and supervise maintenance associates as well as provide technical troubleshooting skills to identify maintenance issues and develop solutions. They will also provide technical leadership and training to maintenance associates. This position requires a strong maintenance background with verifiable, hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience within an industrial environment. Leadership experience, robotics, pneumatics/hydraulics, and PLC troubleshooting knowledge are strongly desired. This position requires the person to be a self-starter with a motivation to lead and develop a maintenance team that is capable of improving the overall reliability and health of the plant.***Range 75,000.00 to 85,000.00 per year.Responsibilities/Expectations:Leading and supervising maintenance associates within the department, acting as a resource for maintenance guidance to maintenance associates and other manufacturing personnel;Providing technical maintenance support for assigned area;Developing team members (skill assessment, training plan, coaching/counseling, performance evaluations)Planning and executing work to meet department goals;Coordinate repairs with customers to ensure minimal machine downtime;Following-up on machine issues, and developing technical problem-solving solutionsEnsure safety compliance of all team members by having a strong presence on the floor daily (Utilize Dept. tools: LOTO audits, permit approvals, Pre Task Checklist, Pre-Lift Check sheet, etc.)Providing on-call response to remedy critical maintenance situations;Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives of manufacturing methods, working hand in hand with maintenance associates;Adhering to DENSO safety, quality, continuous improvement and other company policies;Assuming other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as required.Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to ensure effective and efficient job planning.Coordinate and communicate daily with all Team Leaders to ensure clear communication among shifts.Utilizing the Planner role, look for innovative ways to reduce machine downtime through Kaizens, data analysis, and other defined metrics.Utilizing the Planner role, manage and own the PM system and scheduled repairs - coordinate with customers and other plant personnel sharing any information with other Team Leaders.Work closely with Suppliers, Engineering, and Purchasing to be cost effective on all major projects.Preferred Strengths:Detail orientedGood communication at a department levelShares issues and knowledge quickly and efficiently through maintenanceHolds crew to high standards (accountability)Addresses performance issuesOwnership (department level)Embraces changeHuman developmentUnderstand team member's skillsetDevelop training plansCoaching/counseling sessionsSelf-awarenessCompassion with team and customersArticulate (verbal and written)Strong documentationCompetent with Microsoft Office ApplicationsProblem solving (PM Analysis, PDCA, 5 Why, etc.)Gemba focusedTechnical abilityStrong safety mindednessUnderstands Denso PoliciesPosition OverviewDemonstrates strong leadership abilities through motivating others to reach goals and continuously improvePrioritize and assign tasks, establish procedures, provide instructionEvaluate and review tasks with team members upon completionPerform daily assessments of work area to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achievedEvaluate various quality and safety matters resulting from daily production activity.
