Administrative Coordinator

Job Posting This is a non-benefited part-time every other weekend position working Saturdays 8am-6:30pm and Sundays 11am-7:30pm and alternating holidays. Responsible for registering patients and updating information in the patient's electronic medical record. Perform a variety of administrative tasks to ensure that patient demographic, financial and mandated information is accurate based on available information, while providing patients and/or family members with required regulatory informational documents regarding their visit or admission.Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:Excellent organizational and prioritization skillsExcellent guest relations and telephone demeanorAbility to professional handle all interactions within a fast paced, hectic and emotionally charged clinical environment.Ability to think critically in making decisions to ensure urgent or emergent situations are handled correctly within hospital policies and procedures.Excellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent computer skillsPreferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:Minimum two years of computer experienceMinimum one to two years of experience in an acute hospital settingKnowledge of medical terminologyEducational Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.License/Certification: N/AAge Specific Criteria:Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.Ability to Meet Job Performance Expectations:Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
