Villa is currently the largest ADU builder in California and is growing rapidly into other housing products and geographies.Role OverviewWe are looking for a dependable person with handyman/carpenter skills that can complete various repair and maintenance tasks on our projects. Home repair & finishing job duties include painting, patching drywall, installing lvp flooring, carpentry, roofing repairs, siding repairs, basic prep & detail, and punch list repairs of newly installed pre-fabricated homes. Responsibilities may also involve solving basic electrical and plumbing issues. Previous experience working as an electrician, plumber, or carpenter is a plus.We are hiring for this position in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrep and detail work to prepare newly built homes for turnover to clientsWarranty repairs and investigations to determine root causeDrywall patching, texturing and painting as neededHelp with tile or flooring installationAssist with trim carpentry or exterior sidingPerform basic electrical and plumbing maintenance & installation (non-licensed work)Perform basic trenching and grading as neededUse of field-based applications for documenting and logging work performedRequirements & Qualifications5+ years of experience working in home improvementHigh school diploma or GED certificate preferred (but not required)Clean driving record (required to drive company vehicle)Willingness to commute to various locations throughout Los Angeles; may include some travel within CaliforniaAbility to lift at least 50 lbsAbility to work in confined spaces or at heights when necessaryExperience using basic hand and power toolsBasic wood framing knowledge requiredRoofing experience is a plusInterior and exterior door adjustment knowledge along with an understanding of flashingMechanical aptitudeAbility to work independently with minimal to no supervisionAbility to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate effectivelyFull-time positions are also eligible for a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes medical health insurance, 401K, equity in the form of Stock Options, Paid Time Off, Short Term Disability leave, generous Parental Leave and a range of other benefits.We are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
