Bilingual Korean/English Material Planner

Job Description Read on to fully understand what this job requires in terms of skills and experience If you are a good match, make an application.Bilingual Korean/English Material PlannerMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPurchase raw materials and sub-components from vendors in the US and South Korea.Determine the required materials and generate purchase orders.Send purchase orders to vendors, tracking commitment dates, and manage inventory levels.Track delivery of the materials, including managing customs, if necessary.Track the production volume and monitor customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.Prepare cost estimates and performance reports.Schedule and oversee the supply and delivery of materials and products.Manage inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.Ensure materials meet specifications, quality standards and are cost-efficient.Ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.Coordinate with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc.Check the schedule and track the parts we ship to customers.Control shipping labels and ensure that manufacturing associates attach the correct labels on the shipping containers.Containerize and palletize shipping containers when necessary.Track returnable containers.Occasional loading/unloading of containers in and out of the trailers using the forklift.Other duties assigned.Material Planner RequirementsHigh school diploma/GED required.Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred.2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.Strong organizational and time management skills.Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.Good communication skills, both verbal and written in English and KoreanProficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Physical RequirementsAble to lift and move up to 15 pounds.Stand for several consecutive hours per shift with frequent bending, twisting, reaching, stooping; walk; sit; use hands to grip.Regular vision requirements include the ability for close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusting focus.Company DescriptionSinjin Texas develops, manufactures, and supplies automotive interior and exterior plastic parts.
