Maintenance Technician

Job DescriptionGpac is working with a well-established national food manufacturer that is seeking 1st Shift Maintenance Technicians at their facilities in western Kentucky and southern Indiana.This company is committed to providing high quality products while upholding the highest levels of food safety and best-in-class methods in the industry and they are looking for people who want to join us for a long career and be part of a great success story.Duties and responsibilities:Machine maintenance, breaking down equipment when needed, helping to adjust and set up equipment for daily production.Overseeing preventative maintenance, which includes daily and weekly inspection of all machinery.Light plumbing, electrical, welding and carpentry when neededWork with the Maintenance Manager to recommend machine upgrades to boost efficiencyPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required.Qualifications:Experience with food packaging machines is required. Examples: Multivac Tray Sealers, Multivac Thermoforms, Weber (high-speed) Slicers and other equipmentExperience with process equipment such as Weber Slicers, Pick and Pack Automation is requiredAdvanced mechanical and electrical skillsAble to read engineering schematics such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumaticExperienced in HVAC a plusPneumatic EquipmentExcellent communication skills.Work in a refrigerated environmentSchedule:Fixed daily hours Monday - FridayOccasional overtime/weekend work as needed.What's in it for you:Hourly wage: $35 to $38Great benefitsAdvancement opportunitiesHow to Apply: For immediate & confidential consideration, send your resume directly to: Rick at rick.spinner@gogpac.com
