The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development of an Azure-based evidence platform designed to ingest, store, and manage compliance artifacts and audit evidence. This position requires a hands-on developer experienced in building scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-native applications. The primary responsibilities include designing and implementing APIs, writing serverless functions, managing database interactions, and integrating third-party systems via APIs. The role emphasizes creating robust, immutable storage solutions using Azure Blob Storage and Cosmos DB, along with implementing encryption and security best practices through Azure Key Vault. The developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets technical requirements, adheres to security standards, and is optimized for performance and reliability. This position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud-native solutions that support regulatory compliance and audit readiness in a dynamic environment.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess over five years of professional experience building production workloads on Azure, with a proven track record in event-driven and API-first architectures. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform is required to automate and manage cloud resources effectively. Candidates should be proficient in programming languages such as Node.js and Python, with the ability to develop, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud applications. A solid understanding of Azure application architecture, including designing integrations between various services, is critical. Preferred qualifications include relevant certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, or CCSP, along with a degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related fields. Experience working within regulated environments with security and compliance requirements will be considered a significant advantage.ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities for this role include developing and designing Azure applications with a focus on backend logic and application workflows. The developer will create and optimize APIs and serverless functions using Azure services, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient. Implementing integration points with databases, third-party systems, and internal tools via APIs is a core task. This includes designing and managing API ingestion pipelines through Azure API Management (APIM), incorporating validation, schema enforcement, and rate limiting to ensure data integrity and security.
