Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Kaunakakai, HI Agency: AMN Healthcare Allied Pay: $2,379 to $2,451 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 26 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Description & Requirements Medical Laboratory Technician - (Med Lab Tech - MLT) StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 10 D Pay Rate: $2379.00 - $2451.00 Must be willing and able to work on-call. Must be available for four 10-hour shifts Monday - Thursday 4:00 pm – 2:30 am, with on call 2:30 am – 6:00 am. Must be flexible with schedule changes based on operational needs. · Must be able to report to work within 30 minutes when on-call. · Must be willing and able to perform phlebotomy. Education: Medical Technologist/Specialist: Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution Medical Laboratory Technician: Associate degree in medical laboratory technology/technician from an accredited institution. Certification: · MT: Certified or licensed as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS),, Technologist or Specialist in the assigned/responsible laboratory discipline by an agency recognized by the Hawaii Department of Health State Laboratories Division. · MLT: Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by an agency recognized by the Hawaii Department of Health State Laboratories Division. Licensure: Hawaii State license as a Technologist, Technician or Specialist. one week of training on Oahu will be required before starting on the Big Island Required Qualifications Medical Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Experience: 1 year Licenses: MLT-HI Certifications: MEDLABTECH(Copy needed); BLS-AHA(Copy needed) OR Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist, Laboratory MT-HI SSN Required DOB Required Work History: Should not be more than 90 days of gap in last 1 year MUST HAVE ACTIVE HI LIC (takes 10-12 weeks) , Molokai General Hospital Lab - Generalist Eve/Night Shift Additional Notes: · Must be willing and able to work on-call. · Must be able to report to work within 30 minutes when on-call. · Must be willing and able to perform phlebotomy, including infants and children.
