As a Senior Python Developer, you will assist in leading the integration of a custom application with other client based systems.Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.  ResponsibilitiesWork cross-functionally in an Agile environmentBuild FastAPIs for the display of contentCreate microservicesWork on front-end and back-end codeMentor peers and junior developers in Python designBuild ETL processesWork in a highly collaborative environmentJuggle multiple tasks at onceWork independently and collaboratively as neededUtilize interpersonal skills and strong communication skillsWork directly with the Project Manager to support emerging client needs 8+ years of solid Python development experience 8+ years of overall (OOP) programming experience Bachelor’s Degree (or 2 additional years of experience)API development and integration experienceExperience with Microservices Experience with JavaScript and JQuery Experience with Search engines, such as Solr or Elasticsearch Experience designing and developing enterprise Web and Search systems Experience with enterprise database technologies, such as Postgres and MySQL Experience building and managing container technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, etc. Comfortable with working with open source-based solutions Familiar with enterprise use of Python Expert in continuous integration/continuous delivery solutions Experience with large-scale AWS based solutions and Terraform Agile environment experiencePreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering or related fieldExperience with the federal governmentExperience with FastAPIs (Highly preferred)Travel RequirementsThis is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible. EEO StatementAretum is committed to fostering a workplace rooted in excellence, integrity, and equal opportunity for all.
