Perform root-cause analysis to assess the extent of repairs needed.Preventative Maintenance: Prevent equipment failure by cleaning air handling systems and reheat coils, monitoring/calibrating systems, and replacing critical components such as filters, motors, fans, and belts.Customer Consultation: Explain diagnosed problems and repair options to customers in clear, easy-to-understand language. Provide accurate cost assessments and transparent pricing.Client Relationship Management: Establish rapport with homeowners by asking lifestyle questions to better troubleshoot malfunctions and identify the best heating and cooling solutions.Consultative Sales: Educate customers on the benefits of maintenance plans and identify opportunities for system replacements when equipment is aging, inefficient, or underperforming.Operational Collaboration: Work closely with the Dispatch and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless scheduling and overall business success.Inventory & Site Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Keep the service vehicle well-stocked and properly inventoried.Administrative Accuracy: Ensure all invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and service option sheets are completed accurately and submitted on time.Professional Development: Actively participate in all company training sessions, morning meetings, trade shows, and team retreats to stay at the forefront of the industry.What You BringMinimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in residential HVAC service, troubleshooting, and repairA high school diploma or GED.EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) is highly preferred.Knowledge of local HVAC codes and ability to make on-the-job applications.Continued education and training to obtain NATE certification.Valid Driver's License with a clean, safe driving record.Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.Strong verbal and written communication integrity with advanced social skills and ability to make solid connections.Powerful desire to be a better technician tomorrow than you are today.Competitive individual contributor who also loves to win as a team.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentAbility to lift and/or carry up to 50-75 lbs.Ability to frequent stoop, kneel and crouch to work in tight spaces.Ability to climb and work from ladders.Must be able to work in both extreme heat and cold, as well as adverse weather conditions.
