Job Description
H&S Logistics, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Fleet Mechanic and assist in keeping our fleet in excellent running condition and in compliance with DOT regulations.
The successful candidate will have a mechanical background and will be able to learn new skills from on-the-job training. This person will have the opportunity to grow and become an integral part of our company.
Our Vehicles Include:
Chevrolet Express, Ford Transit and Ford E-Series Vans, P100 Step Vans (Ford)
Most vans are under 10,000 lbs.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a mechanic
Additional experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, diesel technician, or heavy equipment mechanic may be considered
Good communication skills
Diagnosis and problem-solving skills
Self-starter and planner that takes initiative
Great attention to detail
Ideal candidate will have experience with basic fleet maintenance as well as more advanced truck maintenance and/or willingness to learn and perform advanced mechanic skills
ASE certification not required, but a plus
Roll-up door experienced (working with springs, cables, etc.) not required, but a plus
Responsibilities:
Inspecting all fleet vehicles for safety and excellent running condition
Performing basic maintenance (oil changes, fluid checks, brake checks, tires, lights, etc.)
Repair or replace all worn, old, or defective parts
Keep detailed records of all repairs and related costs/receipts
Respond promptly to road calls (completing small repairs on the road)
