Patient Services Specialist for Neurosurgery (SW Portland)

We are seeking a full time Patient Services Specialist for our Neurosurgery clinic located in SW Portland. You will work with exceptional physicians who value their team and working together to help our patients get the best possible care. Our busy practice receives a high volume of patient appointments and calls, and we are searching for a candidate that is a self-starter, with a positive attitude, who can work independently, and has a customer-focused work ethic. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of medical front office experience, is team-oriented and can multitask in a fast-paced environment. Primary duties include providing efficient and accurate patient check-in and/or check-out processes like collecting co-pays, verifying demographics and insurance information, and obtaining consent forms while accurately documenting in the EMR. This role is also responsible for scheduling, answering phones, and other duties as assigned. Workdays will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Hiring pay based on open position, experience, and credentials: Level I - $18.33- $24.81 per hour. Level II - $20.17 - $27.29 per hour. Level III - $22.18 - $30.01 per hour. Placement within levels based on specialty group, experience, additional duties. Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees. Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of medical front office experience required. Prior experience with EMR preferred Experience with scheduling, phone lines, and receptionist experience preferred.
