Store Team Leader: Elevate Service, Sales & Ops

Job Description SummaryThe Store Team Leader plays a vital role in supervising daily store operations while ensuring 100% adherence to Company policies. This position leads, guides, and trains the store staff under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. In the absence of these managers, the Store Team Leader takes full responsibility for all store operations, driving efforts to meet and exceed sales, service, and operational goals. This role can be filled by either full-time or part-time management staff.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrioritize the safety and well-being of both employees and customers.Deliver an exceptional shopping experience by maintaining and reinforcing service level standards and providing effective service training to the team.Handle all POS terminal transactions following Company procedures, including sales, discounts, refunds, loyalty programs, and open/closing tasks.Oversee inventory control, ensuring compliance with policies on shipping and receiving, price management, and damaged merchandise.Manage sales floor merchandising and visual presentation to align with Company standards, including merchandise placement and promotional displays.Maintain payroll control, ensuring adherence to scheduling and budget compliance while managing time and attendance for the team.Facilitate the training and development of team members, utilizing available training tools and reinforcing customer service excellence.Implement loss prevention strategies to safeguard all Company assets in compliance with established policies.Develop a comprehensive understanding of all day-to-day operations management.Principal Working RelationshipsStrong engagement with customers, sales associates, store management, district/regional managers, and personnel from store operations and training.Key QualificationsSuccessful candidates will have an approved background check, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside strong managerial and organizational abilities.Company Description:About Rack Room ShoesRack Room Shoes is the preferred family footwear retailer, offering a diverse range of comfortable, dress, casual, and athletic shoes for men, women, and children.
