Sr Project Manager - Data

The Senior Project Manager leads multiple complex data initiatives, ensuring delivery aligns with organizational technology standards, business objectives, and user requirements. Operating with limited supervision, this role is responsible for planning, execution, and oversight of projects across data platforms, analytics, and reporting solutions.This role partners closely with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions that support enterprise reporting and insights.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the successful execution of multiple large-scale projectsEnsure all IT solutions and services meet company standards and user requirementsDefine and clarify project scope, goals, and deliverablesDevelop and maintain detailed project plans and schedulesEstablish and monitor project budgetsIdentify, document, and escalate risks, issues, and dependenciesDetermine project team structure, roles, and responsibilitiesLead and motivate cross-functional project teamsCoordinate activities across multiple organizational functionsAssign work and ensure deliverables are completed according to planMonitor project progress and adjust plans as neededPrepare and deliver comprehensive project status reportsCommunicate effectively with project sponsors, stakeholders, and senior leadershipEnsure consistent project reporting and governance standards are metData Platforms & Analytics DeliveryOversee delivery of data warehousing, BI, and analytics initiatives aligned with business reporting and insight needsDrive timelines, dependencies, and communication across data engineering, analytics, and business teamsEnsure data governance, quality, and consistency across systems and reporting layersSupport the implementation and enhancement of enterprise data platforms within Azure and related ecosystemsPartner with technical teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure data solutionsLeadership & CollaborationAct as the primary point of contact for project sponsors and senior leadershipFoster strong relationships across all lines of businessProvide guidance and direction to team members and stakeholdersDrive accountability and performance within project teamsQualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 4+ years of project management experienceProven experience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsExperience working across cross-functional teamsCertification in Project/Program Management preferred (e.g., PMP, CAPM)Pay Range$89,800.00 - $125,500.00  Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.    #VIZI    Horace Mann was founded in 1945 by two Springfield, Illinois, teachers who saw a need for quality, affordable auto insurance for teachers.
