A well‑established Minnesota manufacturing company is seeking an Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join its finance team. This role provides hands‑on exposure to cost accounting, inventory processes, operational finance, and month-end close—making it ideal for early-career accountants who want to build a strong foundation.
Key Responsibilities
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Support general ledger posting and maintenance
Assist with month-end close tasks and journal entries
Prepare account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and documentation
Review and help maintain accurate cost and inventory data
Support standard costing updates and cost variance analysis
Assist with preparation of internal financial statements
Help analyze production and materials variances and trends
Maintain organized financial files, documentation, and audit support
Assist with annual financial audit preparation
Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and HR to ensure accurate financial information
Contribute to process improvements and support ERP/accounting system updates
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or expected soon)
Internship experience in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
Solid understanding of basic GAAP concepts
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with common accounting tools
Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
Strong communication skills and willingness to work cross‑functionally
