The surgical nurse acts as the patients advocate during the surgical procedure. The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the delivery and coordination of patient care provided by the caregiving team. S/he assures that competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers including referring facilities, hospital staff and patients in the ambulatory setting. The RN must be able to function as a surgical tech and have a knowledge base of different service lines that include, plastics, gen surgery, ophthalmology, urology, ENT, and GYN.AMHS Staffing Alliance Job ID #AMC-16625.
