Accountant

DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves managing key financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. As this is a long-term contract position, we seek candidates who are committed to delivering consistent excellence over time. This is a part time based role, offering 25-30 hours per week.Responsibilities:- Process bi-weekly payroll with precision and timeliness.- Manage accounts payable, ensuring invoices are matched correctly and payments are processed efficiently.- Handle bank deposits and maintain accurate records for financial transactions.- Perform reconciliations to ensure accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved.- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, maintaining accurate financial documentation.- Utilize QuickBooks Online to oversee and update financial data.- Apply accrual-based accounting principles to ensure proper revenue and expense recognition.Requirements - Proven experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.- Strong understanding of general ledger and journal entry preparation.- Proficiency in bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online software.- Knowledge of accrual-based accounting principles.- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
