Joining a high-growth startup now means getting in early enough to have a meaningful impact on the product and trajectory of the company, while also having significant upside.What You’ll DoDesign, build, and scale reliable backend systems and servicesOwn projects from technical design and implementation through deployment and ongoing improvementSolve complex problems around performance, reliability, scalability, and distributed systemsBuild systems that process large volumes of data and support growing user and product demandsDebug and optimize production systems and improve overall system reliabilityCollaborate closely with other engineers and technical teams to make thoughtful architectural decisionsContribute to technical direction, engineering best practices, and the long-term evolution of the platformWork across the stack where needed and learn new technologies quicklyWhat We’re Looking For3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend developmentExperience building and scaling production softwareStrong programming skills in one or more backend languages such as Go, Python, Java, Rust, TypeScript, or similarStrong understanding of software design, APIs, databases, and distributed systemsExperience working with cloud infrastructure and modern development environmentsComfortable debugging complex production systems and making performance and reliability improvementsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to make thoughtful technical tradeoffsOwnership mentality and the ability to take projects from idea through productionCuriosity and an interest in learning new technologies and working on technically challenging problemsNice to HaveExperience with high-scale or data-intensive systemsExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or other infrastructure toolingExperience with streaming or event-driven systemsExperience working with databases, networking, operating systems, or other systems-level technologiesExperience at a high-growth startup or rapidly evolving engineering organizationExperience working with AI/ML infrastructure or applicationsStartup experienceTechnologiesDepending on the team, you may work with technologies such as:Go, Rust, Python, TypeScript, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Kafka, Postgres, Redis, S3, Temporal, and other modern backend and infrastructure technologies.Location: Onsite in SFBenefits & Compensation $200-$300k base depending on levelMedical, Vision, & Dental InsurancePTOEqual Opportunity Statement: At Code Red Partners, we're deeply committed to working with equal-opportunity employers and helping to build a diverse and inclusive workforce.
