Field Engineer - Heavy Infrastructure

They take pride in the meaningful impact their work has on the communities that rely on the integrity and dependability of the infrastructure they deliver.The OpportunityAn opportunity exists for a Field Engineer to support an active highway infrastructure project in Southern California along a major freeway corridor in the northern corridor.Core ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews to support the delivery of project milestonesOversee the receipt and inspection of material deliveries, verifying quantities, quality standards, and alignment with contract requirementsManage and negotiate agreements with subcontractors and material suppliersContribute to the development and ongoing updating of the overall project scheduleCoordinate and track the submission and approval of shop drawings and project submittalsMaintain thorough and up-to-date records of all submittals, approvals, and resubmittals, including transmittal correspondence and transaction timelinesPlay an active role in cost control operations, including analysis of construction expendituresParticipate in monthly revenue forecasting and cost accrual processesGather required data and prepare monthly payment estimatesProcess and estimate change orders and requests for information under the direction of the Project ManagerAdhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related disciplineWorking knowledge of construction methodologies and practicesProficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, and ExcelKey CompetenciesClear and effective communicator, both verbally and in writingComfortable working independently as well as contributing within a team settingStrong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistentlyWillingness to work in both a field office environment and on-site at the project locationWhat's On OfferComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageShort- and long-term disability protection and life insurance401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributionsTuition reimbursement available after one year of servicePaid time off programA dynamic and engaging work environmentAnd much more
