⚡ Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Azure) The Company Storm2's client is a fast-growing software company at the centre of one of the more credible enterprise blockchain ecosystems in market, supporting a proof-of-stake public network governed by major institutions across 14 regions. They're now building a private, institutional-grade DLT network on top of that foundation, and need the infrastructure to match the ambition. The Role This is a greenfield Azure build for a production-grade distributed system. No inherited state, no compromises baked into decisions you weren't part of. You own the foundation: design it, build it, and make it enterprise-ready. It's a high-autonomy seat. They're not looking for someone who executes tickets. The expectation is that you read an ambiguous requirement, ask the right questions, and come back with a plan. The six-to-twelve month bar is clear: Azure becomes a production-ready deployment environment with repeatable, secure customer deployments. That's the mission. What you'll be working on: Designing and building secure, scalable Azure infrastructure for a production-grade distributed system from first principles Owning Terraform-based infrastructure as code for repeatable, automated deployments Translating product and customer requirements into concrete architecture and execution plans Building platform services, APIs, and integrations that extend the network's capabilities Contributing to observability, reliability, and incident response across production environments Working cross-functionally with engineering, security, and product to deliver enterprise-ready solutions What you'll bring: Proven experience designing and shipping greenfield production systems on Azure (networking, compute, identity, security, storage) Terraform at production scale, not just scripting Programming experience in Go and/or Python Experience building greenfield infrastructure environments, not just inheriting and extending Background in distributed systems, high-availability architectures, or platform engineering Strong communication across both technical and non-technical stakeholders Nice to have: Kubernetes and container orchestration Observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana Workflow and orchestration platforms: Argo, Spacelift, or similar ⚡ Storm2 is a specialist FinTech recruitment firm with clients across Europe, APAC, and North America.
