Assembly Supervisor

Description: Responsible for managing a group of lines or areas inside the operations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise activities of the area in a manner that meets the company's goals for Safety, Quality, Environment and Productivity.Supervise compliance of the production schedule as well as compliance with the general requirements of the organizationSupervise employeesParticipate in the analysis of product rejectionsManage area KPI and lead improvement team through PDCAAssure completion of the production scheduleProvide support and training to the employees.Participate in problem solving teamsEnsure the quality of the product, by monitoring the compliance of the quality requirements and criteriaSupervise compliance with the area’s procedures and instructionsMonitor the reliability of the processesParticipate in the responses to customer complaintsSupervise and provide corrective actions for the production performance indicatorsImplement continuous improvement programs in the production areaKeep the scrap and finished product system updatedImplement inventory and scrap reduction projectsComply with the quality and environmental standards procedures and instructions (those applicable)All those activities generated as a result of changes, requirements and/or improvement in the process of the applicable area)Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:College Degreed preferred3 years minimum as supervisorQuality and environmental systemsEmergency programsBasic knowledge about Lean Manufacturing and its toolsProblem solving techniquesLeadership skills, communication, human relations.Internal work regulationsKnowledge of computer packages (MS OFFICE)Basic process tools: PFMA’s and PCP’sAvailability to work overtime on short noticeExperience with injection molding/ assembly process a plus
