By connecting with us, you position yourself for opportunities that align with what you're looking for.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, grinders).Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs.Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring tools.Troubleshoot and resolve machine or tooling issues during production.Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and tooling.Adjust machine parameters to achieve specified part dimensions and tolerances.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Recommended QualificationsProven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for program editing and basic troubleshooting.Ability to accurately use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Knowledge of various materials and their machining properties (e.g., steel, aluminum, plastics).Bonus QualificationsProficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks)Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or other advanced metrology equipmentStrong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Knowledge of tooling selection and optimization for various materialsJob Titles That Should ApplyCNC Machinist, CNC Programmer, CNC Operator, CNC Setup Technician, Precision Machinist, Machinist, Computer Numerical Control Machinist, CNC Production Machinist, CNC Machine TechnicianWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
