Counter Attendant
DescriptionJOB PURPOSE: To perform a variety of duties that cover a wide range of service which includes, service minded individuals who are committed to providing excellent guest services in a fast -paced, high energy and fun environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Assign lanes to guestsRent bowling shoes and collect fees from guestsMaintains the reservation schedule for Bowling CenterMaintains a safe and clean work environmentMaintains working knowledge of the Bowling Center's activities and programsAnswers phones and assist customers, providing quality customer servicePerforms other tasks as assigned by Manager or SupervisorOther duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):Must have basic math skills and knowledge of basic accounting practicesMust have good written and verbal communication skillsMust be competent with computer programs including word and excelGood customer relation skills. Ability to handle a variety of customer requests and personalitiesSkill in using cash register, handling money, giving change, balancing banksREQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Must have a High School Diploma or GEDMust be at least 19 years oldExperience in Bowling industry is a PlusPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Walking/standing at 75%. Sitting at 25%.Required to lift/carry up to 25 lbsEntertainment, leisure setting.Exposed to loud noise and cigarette smoke.Shift work required.Required to work weekends and holidays.
