Solution Engineer

Overview As a Snowflake Solution Engineer, you will bridge business and technical teams to solve complex customer problems and close large deals. You will present Snowflake’s vision to executives and technical audiences, run demos and proofs of concept, and collaborate cross-functionally to position Snowflake against competitors. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and help redefine how work gets done with AI-native thinking. This role combines strategy, technical depth, and customer impact, with meaningful opportunities to influence product and marketing directions. ResponsibilitiesPresent Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributorsDemonstrate value through hands-on demos and involvement in proofs of concept and implementation designStay current on industry, competitors, and positioning relative to SnowflakeCollaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve products and marketingSupport enterprise sales cycles and partner engagementsTravel approximately 30% as required Key requirements7-8 years of industry experience with at least 5 years in a pre-sales roleOutstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiencesBroad experience with large-scale database and/or data warehouse technology, ETL, analytics and cloud technologiesHands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and PythonAbility to map customer problems to Snowflake solutions and perform deep discovery of architectureUniversity degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience; master’s preferredExperience with GSIs is a plus but not requiredApproximately 30% travelstrong communication and executive presencecollaboration across cross-functional teamscuriosity and adaptability in a fast-moving environmentSQLSQL analyticsPython
