Responsibilities:
Interclypse is delivering a multi-year modernization of the platform behind this mission. This is not a make-maps GIS seat: you'll be a developer embedded in an Agile product team, engineering geospatial data into a modern web platform's workflows.
Own the correction, versioning, and publication of hunt-unit and refuge boundary layers in an Esri/ArcGIS environment (ArcGIS Enterprise/Online, feature service administration), preserving authoritative lineage from source systems
Build the version-controlled spatial publication workflow that lets any prior rulemaking year's geography be reproduced exactly, the property litigation defense requires
Engineer GIS into application workflows: integrate feature services with a microservices-based web platform, support map-centric UI views, and automate spatial data QA and validation pipelines
Support the redesign of a national species-opportunity dataset aligned with 50 states' classification systems, including its GIS dimensions
Carry your work through peak season: January–May is annual rulemaking season, when spatial layer reliability is mission-critical, and you'll be the name behind it
Work inside our DoneRight™ Agile practice: two-week sprints, demos to the Government every sprint boundary, Definitions of Done that include accessibility and security
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination)
Hands-on Esri/ArcGIS ecosystem experience: ArcGIS Enterprise and/or ArcGIS Online, feature service creation and administration, geodatabase management
Software development skills beyond desktop GIS: scripting/automation (Python and ArcPy preferred), REST API integration, and comfort working in Git and CI/CD workflows
Spatial data quality discipline: topology validation, boundary reconciliation, metadata, and provenance tracking
US citizenship or work authorization consistent with federal background investigation requirements; ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation at the level designated by the Government
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with federal or state government geospatial data (regulatory boundaries, cadastral/realty-derived data, or protected-lands datasets)
Familiarity with publishing to public open-data portals (ArcGIS Hub/Open Data)
Experience versioning spatial data for regulatory or audit purposes
Exposure to Azure cloud environments and modern web mapping libraries
Section 508/accessibility awareness for map-based interfaces
