Engineering Technician – Semiconductor Manufacturing Shift: 2nd Shift | Hours: 3:45 PM – 2:15 AM 4th Shift Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7 am to 7 pm 18-month contract with a good possibility it could go permanent Pay Rate: $30.00 to $35.00 depending on experience  (does not include hourly differential) Are you a hands-on Engineering Technician who thrives in a fast-paced semiconductor production environment? We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly on tools, systems, and prototypes while collaborating closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams. What You’ll Do As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting production, engineering, and new product introductions by performing a wide range of electro-mechanical tasks, including:Perform routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical functions such as design support, testing, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assemblyBuild and work with electronics, electro-mechanical systems, prototype models, and specialized test equipmentTroubleshoot and test both component-level and system-level electrical and mechanical issuesSupport new system installs, NPI activities, and field upgradesWork from schematics, diagrams, layouts, written instructions, and verbal directionCompile and maintain logbooks, test procedures, and technical documentation with strong attention to detailPerform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on AMAT/VSE platforms per Engineering and Manufacturing specificationsPerform rework based on test results and generate Quality Notifications when requiredStay current on manufacturing and engineering processes and assist in continuous improvement efforts Safety & Work EnvironmentMaintain a safe, clean, and secure work environmentFollow all safety, security, and operating proceduresUse appropriate protective equipment and proper tool handlingActively participate in required safety training and proactively report hazards, incidents, or injuries Required Technical SkillsProven experience working hands-on in a production or manufacturing environmentStrong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process systemsExperience using hand and power toolsAbility to build equipment using unreleased schematics, assembly drawings, and imagesFamiliarity with electrical test equipment, meters, and diagnostic toolsExperience with or knowledge of fiber-optic communicationsAbility to write clear, detailed technical reports and test proceduresSolid understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes in a semiconductor environment Mechanical Skills RequiredStrong build, assembly, and fabrication skillsExperience using precision measuring devices Nice to HaveExperience with motion control systems, specifically PMAC Why You’ll Want This RoleHands-on work with advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipmentExposure to cutting-edge technology and complex systemsOpportunity to support engineering innovation and NPI effortsStable 2nd and 4th  schedule for those who prefer off-hour workA role where your technical skills truly make an impact Yoh Contractor BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) Retirement Savings PlanLife and Disability InsuranceWeekly Direct Deposit and ePayrollEmployee Discount Programs If you’re a driven Engineering Technician with semiconductor experience who enjoys solving complex problems and working directly on high-tech equipment, we’d love to hear from you.
