Sr. Manager Project ManagementLocation: Berlin / Erlangen, Remote GermanyMain Responsibilities:Leadership of a team of project managers: resource planning and team development.Management of a portfolio of battery storage projects: monitoring international battery storage projects, particularly in Germany, to ensure compliance with scope, schedule, cost, and quality standards.Portfolio planning and coordination: planning and coordinating all activities of the portfolio team to ensure an efficient workflow and to achieve project milestones.Stakeholder engagement: building and maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders, providing daily updates on project status and changes.Analysis of customer requirements: clarifying customer goals and requirements, analyzing work packages and creating/managing project specifications for suppliers.Analysis and adjustment of project status: monitoring project status and adjusting scope, schedule, or budget as needed to meet project requirements.Reporting: delivering monthly reports to the executive board and weekly reports to customers to ensure transparency and accountability.Claim management: efficiently handling claims to mitigate risks and manage project hazards.Commissioning coordination: coordinating on-site commissioning activities in collaboration with site management.Compliance with standards and regulations: adherence to PM standards and business codes, including environmental, health, and safety guidelines (EHS).Skills and Qualifications:Experience: at least 10 years as a project manager in plant construction/EPC business, preferably in the field of energy or grid solutions, wind energy, or renewable energies.Education: masters degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.Customer interaction: proven experience in dealing with demanding customers.Technical and commercial focus: strong emphasis on deadlines and budget constraints, linking technical and commercial perspectives.Leadership: proven success in working with all management levels. Experience in personnel management.Communication: strong written and verbal communication skills in German (native or C1 level) and English (professional).Travel readiness within DE 20% - 30%This role is crucial for the success of our battery storage projects.
