Controller (Washington)

We are performing a search for a controller for a well established non-profit in Washington DC. This is a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and in-house experience (non-profit). Sage Intacct experience a big plus. Salary around 180k. If interested please reach out at marc.zeid@cbh.comKey Responsibilities:Managing Financial Operations: Overseeing all aspects of accounting including general ledger, payroll and tax compliance, and routine forecasting and budget monitoring.Financial Reporting and Analysis: Preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP) and internal controls to protect company assets.Team Leadership: Managing a team of accountants or other financial staff.Strategic Financial Planning: Providing financial advice to senior management and contributing to strategic business planning.Auditing: Leading or overseeing financial and compliance audits.
