As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that delight our customers while ensuring adherence to food safety standards and kitchen protocols. Duties Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, using fresh ingredients. Ensure that all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils. Utilize advanced knife skills for precise cutting and presentation of sushi components. Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to the management team. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques and food safety practices. Stay updated on culinary trends related to sushi and Japanese cuisine to enhance menu offerings. Requirements No experience necessary, we will train the right candidate! Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
