Maintenance SupervisorLocation: Tonawanda, NYContract: 12 months (strong potential for extension or direct hire)Compensation: $49-51/hour + PTO, Paid Holidays, optional BenefitsSchedule Requirements:Must be open to any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)Non-rotating shift assigned after onboarding/trainingRequired to work 2 out of every 3 weekendsOvertime expected (~7+ hours/week)OverviewThe Maintenance Supervisor leads maintenance operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving equipment reliability, supporting production targets, and ensuring safety, quality, and operational efficiency.This position requires a strong blend of leadership and hands-on technical expertise, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues in real time.Key ResponsibilitiesLead maintenance operations aligned to SPQRC (Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost) goalsSupervise, coach, and develop a multi-trade workforce (mechanical & electrical technicians)Diagnose equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actionsOversee preventative and planned maintenance programsManage maintenance-related projects, including construction and equipment upgradesEnsure compliance with safety standards and housekeeping expectationsSupport production schedules while maintaining quality standardsPartner with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challengesMonitor downtime, analyze trends, and drive continuous improvement initiativesManage employee performance, training, and developmentEnsure adherence to labor agreements and company policiesDay-to-Day ResponsibilitiesReview shift handoffs, downtime reports, and production metricsTroubleshoot and support CNC and manufacturing equipmentLead a team of 10-15 employees, coordinating with skilled tradesDrive real-time problem solving directly on the plant floorRequired QualificationsProven leadership experience managing 10-15+ employeesStrong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systemsExperience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawingsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and team collaboration abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft OfficePreferred ExperienceExperience in a union environment (UAW preferred)Background in CNC equipment and industrial manufacturingExperience leading multi-trade teamsEducation & ExperienceAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or related fieldOR equivalent hands-on technical training (skilled trades)3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing10+ years of overall relevant experience preferredWork EnvironmentOnsite role in a manufacturing plant settingPhysical exam required (Fit for Work)No travel requiredWhy This Role?Work in a high-performance, precision manufacturing environmentExposure to high-volume production systems and advanced equipmentJoin a team with a strong culture of process discipline and quality focusEqual Opportunity Employer (EOE), including Disability/Veterans
