Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner to join our specialized cosmetic and aesthetic medicine team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, including experience with dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, esthetic laser procedures, and advanced patient assessment. The Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner will collaborate closely with physicians and support staff to provide top-tier aesthetic services, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Perform non-invasive and minimally invasive aesthetic procedures such as dermal fillers, Botox, and laser treatments with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, and physical examinations relevant to aesthetic treatments.
Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with patients’ aesthetic goals while ensuring safety and realistic expectations.
Educate patients on procedure options, post-treatment care, potential risks, and expected outcomes to foster informed decision-making.
Maintain accurate medical documentation within EMR/EHR systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Manage pre- and post-procedure patient care, including monitoring for adverse reactions or complications such as acute pain or allergic responses.
Stay current with advancements in aesthetic medicine, including esthetic laser technology and new treatment modalities.
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure infection control standards are maintained across all procedures.
Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills related to aesthetic practices.
Skills
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology relevant to aesthetic procedures.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth for accurate documentation.
Ability to perform patient assessments confidently while maintaining excellent communication skills.
Experience working with diverse patient populations across age groups including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal care, or assisted living settings is a plus.
Skilled in laser treatments and other esthetic procedures with certification or training preferred.
Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail.
